Burg Frauenstein

Frauenstein Castle is located directly on the Inn reservoir of the Frauenstein-Ering power station.

It has an impressive, three-storey salt barn made of tuff. This houses a studio, an exhibition room and is used for catering and cultural purposes. The castle's gate tower has also been restored.

Frauenstein is the intersection of the "Roman Cycle Route", the "Inn-Salzach Cycle Route" and the "Via Nova" pilgrimage route.
