KTM Kobernaußerwald Mountainbike Arena

Enjoy the beautiful mountainbike trails

Flowing descents, crisp climbs and the beautiful Innviertler landscape with the relaxation area Kobernaußerwald await the cyclists on the new MTB attraction.

Under the KTM Kobernaußerwald MTB Arena is meant the merger of the four communities Maria Schmolln, Treubach, Höhnhart and St. Johann am Walde to an MTB circuit for the whole family.

The KTM Kobernaußerwald mountain bike arena includes a total of 80 km of uniformly signposted mountain bike trails. The one-way system signposted 55.5 km long circuit with ca.1400 vertical meters leads through the Kobernaußerwald and the municipalities of Maria Schmolln, Höhnhart, St. Johann am Walde and Treubach. Who wants to have it more comfortable, can use marked abbreviations.

The circuit can be tackled in the center of all four municipalities. The entrance to the track is also possible from Mattighofen - directly away from the KTM bike center.

The trails in Treubach and Höhnhart lead mainly on minor roads and forest roads through the Kobernaußerwald. In St. Johann am Walde and Maria Schmolln, everything is offered that makes the mountain biker's heart beat faster, namely flowing descents, crisp climbs and technical challenges.


The proximity to Mattighofen has further attracted the KTM-Kobernaußerwald-MTB-Arena. In co-operation with KTM-Fahrrad interested, newest e-bikes are available for a fee for a trial day. At the Sonnberg golf course in St. Johann am Walde, a rental station was additionally set up for this purpose.Charging stations for bikes and drivers are available at local inns along the routes.


For the year 2019, another attraction is planned with the construction of a pump track in Maria Schmolln. This is expected to be completed in spring 2019.
