County Judge's House

Ried im Innkreis, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The post office replaced three old town houses, one of which was the district authority building. The colorful design by William Träger (died 1980) form Ried again emphasizes this triple unification. The former ludge’s House (7 Hauptplatz) was taken over in 1780 by the Imperial Treasury Department. Napoleon I stayed the night in this house. According to written records, an attempted assassination of Napoleon was barely averted.
