Licht am Horizont

LICHT AM HORIZONT (LIHO) is a non-profit, non-political association founded in 2007 by Isabelle Ntumba to help street children in Mbuji Mayi in the Congo. The civil war, the death of parents from diseases such as AIDS and malaria, and accusations of witchcraft have driven thousands of children onto the streets of the Congo. In addition, the great poverty of the families is another reason why children end up helpless and alone on the streets.

What do we do?

• We help street children in the Congo.
• LICHT AM HORIZONT runs a children's home in Mbuji Mayi in the Congo.
• We buy the necessary resources locally at low cost and maintain the children's home with your donation.
• We clothe the children, feed them, send them to school and provide them with medical care.

Our goals
To get children off the streets and give them a roof over their heads.
To provide sufficient food.
To provide an education.
Establish basic health care.
To build a hospital for children with a maternity ward.
