Weng is a feel-good community where you can relax after work, move around in nature and enjoy the free time.
The lovely St Martin´s Parish Church dominates the landscape and is a sight to behold. The picturesque village center and the scenic surroundings are dotted by a rich variety of lovely chapels. There are great remote trails for walking that put you close to these lovely cultural sights and attractions. Given its abundance of tiny churches - Pest Chapel, Elend Chapel, Hundinger Chapel, Bucher Chapel, Ellinger Chapel, Hausderdinger Chapel, Bauerdinger Chapel, Pirather Chapel, Weldl Chapel, Hofer Chapel and Riedlhamer Chapel, Weng truly can be considered the capital of chapels.

Weng has a small Local Heritage Museum that tells the story, the history and the culture of the area and its people.

Weng is a village with famous citizens: It´s most famous "sons" are the popular surgeon Prof. Dr. Johann Finsterer (visitors can admire his memorial on the village square) and academic painter Prof. Hans Plank.
