The fruit adventure garden invites you to explore!
Covering an area of 2.2 hectares, there is a wet meadow with three biotopes, an apiary, a flower meadow, a viewing platform and around 170 fruit trees. From the viewing platform you have a good overview of the site. On a tour of our wet meadow area, you can see lots of interesting things - such as natural biotopes, an insect hotel, marsh plants, piles of dead wood, a willow house and a water wheel.
In the centre of the Lohnsburg fruit adventure garden, there is an additional gem to discover alongside the numerous old apple varieties: the Hochkuchler herb and berry garden. A small paradise for hobby gardeners with various herbs and berries to discover and snack on stretches over 1,500 m2. Valuable tips on the right selection and care will make you want to cultivate the plants in your own garden. For example, various growth forms such as spindle, espalier and columnar trees are shown. Once you reach the heart of the herb and berry garden, a cosy place to linger and enjoy is waiting for you.
🍎 News from the fruit experience garden - the fruit experience cellar 🍎 The entrance to the earth cellar is located to the right of the information centre. The cellar is used for fruit exhibitions, storing fruit and scions, as well as for drinks. Only the entrance area is visible, the rest of the cellar is covered with soil and planted.
The cosy information house offers space for approx. 45 to 50 people. After a tour of the facility, coffee and cake, honey, apple juice and cider from our own production are offered. Sufficient parking spaces for cars and buses are available.
