The parish church in Kirchdorf am Inn was already an important place of pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary in the mid-16th century, but this was banned under Emperor Joseph II.

Worth seeing is the baroque high altar "Assumption of Mary into Heaven" and the tombs of the Katzenberg castle owners. Also worth mentioning is the Lourdes Chapel, which was built in 1901 following the miraculous healing of Aloisia Aigner.
