The Police and Military Museum offers a deep insight into the world of civil servants and the times in which they lived. The exhibitor, Andreas Weissenböck, is very enthusiastic about exhibits from the Austrian executive and military.
The collection includes historical exhibits as well as current items from the Austrian executive and armed forces. The exhibits include service weapons, uniforms, ID cards, documents, folders and items of equipment. Uniforms and helmets of the Austrian Armed Forces of the 2nd Republic are also on display.
Medals and uniforms of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War are also an eye-catcher. Among them is a very special exhibit, the original grey service cap for German ambassadors by Joachim von Ribbentrop. The majority of the collection, however, consists of exhibits from the guard units of the Austrian executive. These include, for example, the Judicial Guard, the Federal Gendarmerie and the Federal Police from the First World War to the present day.
