The Biohof-Sebald farm community sees itself as a community in favour of organic farming. At present, the farm is still run as a dairy farm. In the next few years, the farm will be run as a mixed farm with many different animals. The organic farm community has set itself the goal of contributing to the preservation of endangered species and breeds. In addition, various activities such as horse riding and animal walks are offered on the farm.
Biohof Sebald is a four-sided farm typical of the Innviertel region. The farm was first mentioned in documents in the early 15th century - back then as a cobbler's estate. Over the centuries, the farm has always been owned by the same family, which is why it was honoured as a hereditary farm.
The farm was one of the first certified organic farms in the region, specialising in dairy farming. Since a tragic accident in August 2014, the partner of the deceased farm owner has been running the Sebald Hof as a tenant farm. A community of five people has come together on the farm to develop it socially, economically and ecologically. Thus, the preservation of the farm and a very natural cultivation is a special project close to their hearts.
Three associations were founded to cover the various areas. Sebald Hof Academy The Sebald Hof Academy manages the properties and emphasises the preservation of the old buildings. The aim is to further develop traditional craft techniques in conjunction with modern production processes:
Seminars and courses
