Falconry Eagle Observatory

A team of highly qualified falconers offers you a special kind of excursion to gain an insight into the impressive world of birds of prey.

Spectacular swoops by various species of eagle, as well as falcons that vehemently chase prey that we have turned in the air with enormous speed and astonishing skill, are just as much a part of our demonstrations as the vultures, which are admirable due to their body size (approx. 15 kg) and wingspan (up to almost 3 meters), which soar over the audience up close.
We also don't want to hide the lifestyles of our mysterious nocturnal birds of prey from you.

Of course, during the free-flight demonstration, the birds of prey on display and falconry, which has been declared a cultural heritage by UNESCO, are reported on in detail in the form of a presentation.
Hunting methods, habits, as well as precise data on size, speed, strength and eyesight are of course included, as are situations in which our birds cause the falconers distress and the spectators laughter.


Flight demonstration times:
Tuesday to Saturday: 11.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m.
Sundays and public holidays: 11.00, 14.00 and 16.00
Monday closed (except public holiday)

Admission half an hour before the start of the performance (to admire the various birds of prey in the eagle pit in advance or to select your preferred seat).
