The parish church in Weng was built between 1478 and 1490 and is dedicated to St Martin. It was - at least until the 15th century - also the parish church of today's parishes of Moosbach, Weng and Mining.
The bells were recast in 1794 and the organ was purchased in 1774. The tabernacle dates back to 1777 and the altar was remodelled in 1828. Until the time of Emperor Joseph, the parish of Weng was looked after from Moosbach. It was not until 1780 that the current ground-floor vicarage was built, which Father Johann Leithner called his "Häuserl am Rain".
The material used to build the vicarage came from the demolished church in Obertreubach. Also of interest is the plague cemetery in the south of Weng (1516 and 1650) with the associated chapel. This was rebuilt by the community after it was destroyed by a storm in 1861. The Ellend Chapel to the north-west of Weng also dates from the plague period.
